How is the Cx1 Indoor DT different than the previous Cx-65 Indoor Lens?

The Cx-65 was our first generation indoor lens that was introduced several years ago and has been discontinued for some time. It is significantly different from the Cx1 Indoor DT, our 3rd generation indoor lens. Key differences include:

  1. Unique Lens “Recipe”: The latest Cx1 Indoor lens is engineered specifically for Deutan color blindness. Therefore, it manages color passing through the lens in a different way to help a person with deutan color blindness have more impactful visual experience in a broader range of lighting conditions, including screen use.

  1. Lens Material: The Cx-65 lens was made with an acrylic-type polymer lens. The Cx1 Indoor DT and all of our lenses are made with a superior lens material called Trivex®, known for its triple delivery of durability, lightness and clarity.

  1. Frame Fit and Style Options: The Cx1 Indoor DT is available in a broader variety of classic frame styles for both kids and adults. If you cannot find a style that meets your needs, you can visit any of our growing number of Authorized Retailers worldwide and the lens can be fitted in the frame of your choice. You can also use our online Fit-to-Frame Service and send in a new frame of your choice.
